Experiences in the implementing of foreign funded projects:
i) Project Co- Director, Passenger Transport Study in Sri Lanka funded by IDRC, Canada from 1985 to 1991. Project cost Cad $ 8 million.
ii) Project Coordinator; Collaborative project between the Institute of Hydraulic & Environmental Engineering, Delft, The Netherlands and University of Moratuwa from 1989 to 1994 US $ 5million (approx)
iii) Project Preparation work for JICA funded project on Improving Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering Education Project Yen 1500 m from 1998 to 2001
iv) Part time Consultant for ADB funded project on Road Safety Improvement Project in Sri Lanka from 1995 to date.
v) IPCU Coordinator, University of Moratuwa for the ADB Science & Technology Personnel Development Project from 1998 to 2001.Actively involved in the project from the project preparation stage. Served in many Technical Evaluation Committees and Tender Boards. Attended many Workshops, Seminars and Meetings.
vi) Overall in charge of the International Cooperation Division, University Grants Commission. Responsible for the execution of following projects since March 2001.    
  a) World Bank funded Project on General Education (Higher Education Component US $ 8m)
  b) NORAD funded project on IT Development US$ 1.1 m.    
  c) ADB funded Project on Post Secondary Education. US $ 50 m.
