•  "General research committee - Post Graduate research award (Merit award) for the best postgraduate research in Sri Lanka, form the Sri Lanka Association of Advancement Science in 2010

•  Visiting studentship from University of British Columbia, Canada to perform part of PhD research study.

•  Postgraduate research scholarship awarded by the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka to study for a PhD Degree in Building and Structural Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

•  Special award for the final year undergraduate who obtained the highest average (second highest average in Civil Engineering) in final part II examination (2001).
